If you’re interested in getting some ‘hands on’ policing experience, Cheshire Police runs a 12 month Volunteer Police Cadet scheme that helps you develop new skills and prepare for work, whether that’s in the police force or not.
You must be between the ages of 15 and 18 to join the scheme. It runs every Monday from 7pm to 9pm. Cadets are trained in crime solving, evidence gathering and self defence, as well as learning first aid, communication and CV building skills.
